If you haven’t watched our latest video, please do: the reason for this is that many people don’t know that we offer a much more complete service than just providing a 24-hour live-in care for our clients.
Live-in care is the core of what we provide at Arbour Care. To us, though, the whole journey is what matters and that includes making sure that everything is in place for our clients even before their carer moves in with them, especially when hospital discharge is involved.
When people are being discharged from hospital, they often require support and help at home – not just help from a carer. For example, they may no longer be able to travel up-stairs and need a stair lift. In some cases we have worked with Age UK to install downstairs shower facilities.
We also work with the District Nurses, and all of the primary health care team, to make sure that you have everything in place to help care for you safely when you return to your own home.
This level of service allows peace of mind for the family as well as the client, and, as you can see from Christina’s video case study, we have even had a live-in carer stay with the client’s relatives to make sure that all parties felt comfortable moving ahead and that a relationship and friendship could built from the very start.
Every step of our process is done with the utmost care and attention to make the transition as comfortable as possible. We understand that it can be a difficult time – which is why we are by your side every step of the way.
