Celebrating Good Care – Harley House

  16th February, 2018

We read so much these days about sub-standard and poor Carers and Care Homes, and while without a doubt there are some shockers out there, there are far more hard working, caring, good Homes,  Live In Carers and Caring Professionals.

So, we have decided to try to redress the balance a little with our series of blogs featuring the best Care Homes, Live-In Carers and Caring Professionals we have met during our work with Elderly and Disabled people.

The first Home we would like to feature is  Harley House  in Leicester.

Christina Sell, our Managing Director provided this review:

My Mother is currently a resident here and when I visited her this week I observed real person-centred care throughout, meals specially prepared to meet the demands of my mother and beautifully presented.

Harley House. It’s rated outstanding by CQC and indeed it is.

The Home is bright and clean, and the staff are consistently polite and welcoming. With over 30 years’ experience I credit myself with knowing good care when I see it and want to celebrate that good care.

Well done Harley House you are doing a great job (this is not an advert, I promise)!

  • "Arbour provided live-in carers for my wife for six years from 2017-2023 including the pandemic. My main impression is of a very professional organisation in which owners and staff worked all the time to provide the support the client needed at as high a standard as possible. They gave equal attention to statutory requirements, care plans and staff training and never cut any corners."

  • "The support that we have had from Arbour Care has been, quite literally, lifesaving. They found an amazing carer to look after my elderly and disabled husband, who is very experienced, kind and thoughtful. She has made an enormous positive difference to the quality of our lives and I will always be grateful to her and cannot thank her enough."
