Meet The Team
Christina Sell – Managing Director
Christina is a Nightingale Nurse who trained at St Thomas' Hospital in London before becoming a Health Visitor and later moving into healthcare management. She and Robert founded Arbour Companions & Care in 2015, creating a small, specialist live-in care business built around compassion, quality and getting things right for clients and families.
Christina enjoys pottery, dressmaking, cooking, bridge and golf.
Robert Sell - Finance Director
Robert brings a wealth of financial and commercial experience to Arbour Companions & Care. After studying statistics and accounting at the London School of Economics, he enjoyed a varied finance career before moving into the care sector alongside Christina. He now oversees the financial and commercial decisions that support the smooth running of the business.
Robert enjoys golf, bridge and spending time with family and friends.
David Vincent - Operations Director / Registered Manager
David joined Arbour Companions & Care in 2024, bringing 15 years' experience as a Registered Manager in domiciliary care. He previously worked in banking in the City of London. His varied role includes overseeing the management of the business and leading the care team to provide excellent services whilst adhering to CQC Fundamental Standards of Quality and Safety.
David enjoys keeping fit, family time and long walks with Molly the dog.
Alex Nougher - Senior Manager, Business Development & Care Consultant
Alex's role brings together clinical support, care needs assessments, business development and community relationships. With a background in nursing, homecare management and education, Alex also supports families living with dementia as a volunteer Dementia Champion and provides bespoke dementia training for carers.
Alex enjoys walking and spending time with her family.
Bozena Bar Lonska - Senior Care Manager
Bozena has 10 years' experience in care, progressing from Care Co-ordinator to Senior Care Manager. She holds an NVQ Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Adult Care. Her role includes supporting the care team and carers, monitoring clients' changing needs, and carrying out care plan reviews, observations and well-being visits. Bozena particularly enjoys hands-on support in the community.
Bozena is kept busy with her school-aged children, clubs and family days out.
Jane Vincent – Recruitment and Enrichment Lead
Jane brings together experience in teaching, recruitment and activities within care homes. In addition to recruiting experienced live-in carers, she leads Arbour Companions & Care's Enrichment Programme, helping clients and carers enjoy meaningful activities together, both indoors and out.
Jane enjoys running, walking Molly the dog, arts and crafts projects, and time with family.
Nikki Messenger - Care Manager
Nikki has worked in care for over 20 years and brings extensive experience in supporting clients, families and carers. In her role as Care Manager, she helps with carer rotas, care plan updates and support for the Field Care Supervisors, always bringing a team-focused and helpful approach.
Nikki brings the same warmth developed during 15 years as a childminder.
Karolina Sobolewska - Field Care Supervisor
Karolina has over eight years' experience in care, progressing from healthcare assistant to Senior Carer before becoming a Field Care Supervisor. Her role is shared between the office and the community, where she carries out medication competencies, supervises carers and builds strong relationships with clients and families.
Karolina enjoys cooking and long walks with her two dogs.
Jahnell Ryan - Field Care Supervisor
Jahnell has been a live-in carer with Arbour Companions & Care since 2022 and has recently joined the office team. Her experience gives her valuable insight from both client and carer perspectives. She supports accurate records, compliance and practical support for clients, families and carers, while continuing her studies towards a Level 5 Diploma in Health and Social Care Management.
Jahnell enjoys reading non-fiction, travelling, swimming and walking.
Smruti Jadav - Accountant
Smruti came to the United Kingdom from Mauritius to study accountancy before joining the financial services industry. With personal and professional experience of care, she brings a kind and caring approach to supporting carers and clients with finance.
Smruti enjoys yoga, swimming, travelling and long walks by the beach.

Our History
In recent years it became abundantly clear to Christina that there was a need for a new type of care - one that allowed people to remain at home whilst ensuring friends and family were afforded much needed peace of mind.
Having worked in the NHS and social services sectors for many years, Christina understood the countless worries people had when a loved one began to need more help. This, coupled with a gap in the market for a live in care provision, encouraged the family to make the transition from running their own nursing home, to growing their own live in care business.
The vision capitalised on years of industry knowledge, bringing about a new era of care that demonstrated an ability to deliver high-quality care on a par with a good care home. Moreover this option would prove affordable and flexible enough to meet the many differing wishes and needs of people wanting care.
Arbour Care hold great store in their training and quality monitoring. Arbour Care is registered with the Care Quality Comission and meets all stringent quality standards.
